Configuration
This section covers the initial setup required to use NewCommunicator and the management settings needed after operations begin.
Pre-configuration checklist
Before starting, prepare the following information:
- Microsoft 365 global administrator account information
- App permission policy settings configured by a Microsoft 365 global administrator
- Subscription plan (Starter / Basic / Pro)
- Users to appoint as NewCommunicator app administrators
- List of users to register as senders
- Teams teams and security groups to use as recipients
- If customizing the app, app name and icon images for all plans
- Sender app name and icon images for the Pro plan

Order of operations
- Grant NewCommunicator permissions in Chapter 1.
- Configure app administrators and senders in Chapter 2.
- For Basic / Pro plans, configure sender roles in Chapter 3.
- If needed, configure recipient visibility and sender groups in Chapters 4 and 5.
- For the Pro plan, register sender apps and assign them to sender groups in Chapter 7.
